Rennsport 2001 Event Update..

From the previous announcements, I have received quite a bit of e-mail requesting further information about this event - so here goes..

Put together by both Porsche Cars North America and Intercontinental Events, Rennsport 2001 promises to be the single largest and most significant gathering of Porsche racecars and drivers ever assembled in one place. Spanning over 50 years of Porsche racing history, you will be able to view - first hand - some of the most successful and famous Porsche race cars ever. From the first Porsche to win LeMans through to today's latest technology - they will all be assembled in Connecticut - along with many drivers who piloted them to podium finishes.

With James Redman's permission, I'm including just a short sample of many of the noteworthy Porsches scheduled to be there: The Gmund Coupe, multiple 917s - from a 917/K up through several Sunoco 917/30s, a Porsche GT-1, 962s, 935s,
938s, 911RS/RSRs. And if you know what a Porsche 718 is, you will be able to see it "live". And the list goes on to include dozens more rare factory racing prototypes. In addition, I also believe there will be eight or nine LeMans winning Porsches making their appearance at this event!

As always, you can see the latest Rennsport 2001 event details from the link on the Rennlist main page - or by simply surfing on over to: http://www.gorace.com/. Next week, I will be updating you with a partial list of celebrity drivers expected to be in attendance. If you can attend only one Porsche event this entire year - Rennsport 2001 would be that one event! It will provide a lifetime of memories - promise!

I hope to meet many of you there!
