Basil Demeroutis & Rennlist Racing Places Second Overall....

In Round 8 of the Intermarque Championship at Croft this weekend, Rennlist Racing's Basil Demeroutis (Basil.Demeroutis@ing-barings.com) put in a great performance in very challenging weather conditions. Basil qualified third out of 22 drivers in dry conditions on Saturday with a time of 1:29.349, only 1- hundredth of a second behind the second place driver in a Ferrari F-40 and a few tenths ahead of a Porsche RSR.

The fickle English weather delivered a brief deluge just prior to Sunday's race, delaying the start. Once finally under way, the field managed to get off cleanly it a plume of spray. It was a tight three-way battle until Basil managed to pass the F-40 under braking.

As the track began to dry, he set off after the leading Porsche Turbo but was unable to catch up. Basil finished *2nd overall*l and *1st in Class B*, his best result of the year. Particularly well done considering the tricky, changing conditions.

Basil extended his lead in the Intermarque Championship with 79.75 points, ahead of Andy Shepherd (AC Cobra, 70.50 pts), Malcolm Hamilton (Jaguar E-Type, 65.50 pts) and Alan Cosby (Ferrari 512 M, 64.50 pts).

The 9th and penultimate round is Sept 16th at Oulton Park.

Be first to congratulate Basil publicly on the Rennlist Racing Member Board (you are going to have to find where it's located in the Rennlist site:-) – and win a Rennlist Racing T'Shirt. If you are the first to join the Racing Program after this announcement – then you will receive an embroidered, short sleeve official Team Jersey (Merrill Corporation/Rennlist)…

Congratulations Basil!!
