AOL Problem Update

Greetings...

After no fewer then 57 e-mails traded between Rennlist and AOL "TECH SUPPORT" over the last week, it would appear that the AOL problems are resolved for now.

The apparent difficulties with sending Digests to AOL Mail Servers appears to have been a programming error within both their DNS and how their SMTP MAIL servers parsed messages. This issue appears to have been successfully addressed by AOL.

That being said, and *if* you are an AOL customer and do *not* get posts/Digests at any time - I need to know ASAP so that I can forward and file technical job ticket with AOL.  If you have a general non-Rennlist question about AOL however - please, I am *NOT* the right person to support you. Finally, I have pre-programmed a Rennlist Web e-Mail account (a Rennlist mail account that you can access from your Internet Browser) where digests for the following lists will be archived for several days:

911 List Digest
924/944 List Digest
Audi 20V List Digest
928 List Digest
914 List Digest
Racing List Digest

If you are a Rennlist Member and AOL customer and need the URL for that Rennlist Web Mail Account - please e-mail me. The login UserID and password are preassigned - so all you will need=to do is press the "Login" button. Please note, though - that these are *live* mailboxes - in other words - you can forward a Digest copy to your AOL mailbox directly from those accounts.
