Good News & Update - Transition Near Complete and Another Transition Anticipated

First, the "Good News": I am pleased to inform you that the site change-over is now nearly completed with our new provider. Thank you for your patience and support in helping make this tremendous undertaking and transition as "painless" as possible. However, before you go dancing wildly in the streets over this news……

I returned to the office today after a "red eye" flight from across the country only to be met with the announcement that our *new* backbone provider (yes, the one we just implemented during this transition) issued a press release last evening that they are ceasing operations in March and have laid off over 200 employees today. That will leave only TWO providers remaining in our region. Since my track record for picking "long term" providers is somewhat, umm - "tainted" (call me for my investment tips, if you dare:-) - Rennlist will probably hedge all bets and install circuits from BOTH remaining Regional providers - counting on the high probability that one will go "belly up" soon after installation...

Therefore - please be aware that over the next 1.5 - 2 months, once again, we will be transitioning the entire Rennlist site, mail servers, IPs, FQDHs, routers, gateways, etc., to the new carriers. SO - IF YOU HAVE RENNLIST SITES/PAGES linked by IP number (which you shouldn't any longer) - THESE WILL
CHANGE in the next month or so (again...)..

The only good news is - I'm getting pretty damned adept at it, so this change should be more transparent than the previous one completed, um - last week.?.?.
